Honor Roll

Our school's main philosophy is to provide all of our young artists an encouraging environment in which they can express their creativity and feelings through art. Each child is special and unique. We allow our students to participate in various art contests if they desire, though it is never the main focus, and we feel that a student's work itself is it's own trophy. However, we would like to recognize our outstanding students as they shine in different areas of performance. It is our privilege to share these honors with all of you.

Each restaurant seleceted one lucky child to win a dinner for 8 people at Benihana. We are honored that the Newport Beach location winner is one of our outstanding student: Katelyn Shen.

At the end of 2013, one of our outstanding students, Mina Sun, participated in the 24th Annual John Wayne Airport student art contest, and won First Place for Grade 2! The theme of this contest was "Flying Save Lives".

Mina is a very talented and hardworking girl. She joined our MIQ 1 (Elementary) program with Miss Jennifer since 2012. Due to her outstanding performance, she was moved up to the MIQ 2 (Intermediate) program within the first year!!! We're incredibly happy for having her here and are so proud of her. We cannot wait to see her talent continue to grow with us in the future!

We also want to specially thank Mina's mom for sharing this wonderful news and pictures with us. U.S. Arts is very excited and look forward to seeing more awesome accomplishments from our students.

Amphibian populations worldwide are in the midst of a mass extinction crisis, yet most people are completely unaware! We need your help in getting the word out: we encourage all nature lovers to seek out their inner frog artist and participate in the SAVE THE FROGS! Art Contest!

The SAVE THE FROGS! Art Contest invites you to create your coolest frog artwork. The contest will raise awareness of the amphibian extinction problem by getting people involved and interested, and the artwork will be used on t-shirts, stickers, posters, coffee mugs, hats, and in greeting cards and books, to both publicize our cause and raise money for SAVE THE FROGS! amphibian conservation efforts.

"We had a whole unit on this. The kids learned SO MUCH science along with the history of frogs all in the name of art!"
